Dr. Zaki graduated from medical school in Egypt and received his Diploma in Ophthalmology from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Royal College of Physicians of London. He worked in Sudan as an ophthalmologist until he moved to the United States in 1990.
Dr. Zaki graduated as a Doctor of Optometry from New England College of Optometry and received his license as an Optometrist in 1995. He was in private practice for 11 years and joined LEA in 2006.
Dr. Zaki brings expertise in complicated specialty contact lens fitting including Keratoconus, Post Surgical patients, Aphakia, and he is certified in the use of Scleral contact lenses. He also fits an array of soft and Rigid Gas Permeable contact lenses including Daily Disposables, Multifocals, and Astigmatism-correcting contact lenses.
Dr. Zaki presented two research papers, one at the XVI Pan-American Congress of Ophthalmology and the other at the Sudanese Ophthalmological Conference.
He enjoys writing and has published a book in 2005.
