Your Lexington Eye Associates Ophthalmic Surgeon will collaborate with Anesthesiologists who specialize in the administration of anesthesia and monitoring of patients during eye surgery. Operating room nurses are registered nurses who have additional technical training in ophthalmic surgery, assist during surgery and in pre-operative and post-operative areas. Working together, our surgical teams provide high quality eye care in a comfortable, safe, personal atmosphere. The typical stay for patients undergoing eye surgery is approximately 2 ½ hours.
